My copies of illustrations from medieval manuscripts. I, um, only kept track of the source of two of these: the contemplative monkey is from the Breviary of Marie of Savoy, 1430; the basilisk with the dog? on his back is from the Aberdeen Bestiary folio 66.
I got obsessed with copying these for a while…some bored monk had a real admiration for rabbits. These are from The Pontifical of Renaud de Bar (France, Metz or Verdun, c. 1303-1316). More details here.
